China, Japan, Korea, Rank in Top Five for Nanotech Publications

Reflecting the growing amount of R&D activity occurring in East Asia, Korea's Electronic Times reports that China and Japan held second and third place in the number of nanotechnology papers published since 1997, at 12,173 and 9,924, respectively. Korea placed sixth with 3,542, yet garnered fifth place during 2004. The US, Germany, and France held the first, fourth, and fifth positions, respectively, with 21,892, 7,437, and 5,139.
